UFCW Local 700 – Kroger Reconvene for Indianapolis Contract Negotiations

Members of UFCW Local 700 recently rejected a new three-year contract with Kroger; the contract covers more than 8,000 workers at 68 stores in Central Indiana.

Your Union Negotiating Committee will meet with company representatives on June 13 and June 15 for additional contract negotiations. The Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS) will also be present.

Employees continue working under the current terms and conditions of the contract.

UFCW Local 700 Members Reject New Indianapolis Kroger Contract

Members of UFCW Local 700 rejected a new three-year contract with Kroger; the contract covers more than 8,000 workers at 68 stores in Central Indiana.

Your Union Negotiating Committee will meet soon and confer with FMCS  to determine our next steps.

In the mean time, employees will continue working under the current terms and conditions of the contract.

Union Announces Indy Kroger Voting Schedule

Union Representatives and Negotiating Committee Members will be in stores on Tues., May 31, and Weds., June 1, to discuss details of the proposed Indianapolis contract and answer questions. Voting will take place on Thurs., June 2, and Fri, June 3.

Union Officers, Staff, and Negotiating Committee recommend a YES VOTE TO APPROVE the proposed contract.

UFCW Local 700, Kroger Reach Tentative Agreement for Indianapolis Contract

Your UFCW Local 700 Union Bargaining Committee is proud to announce that we’ve reached a tentative agreement with Kroger for a new, three-year contract; the proposed contract covers more than 8,000 workers at 69 stores in the Indianapolis area.

YOUR UNION OFFICERS, STAFF, AND UNION BARGAINING COMMITTEE RECOMMEND A YES VOTE TO APPROVE THE PROPOSED CONTRACT.

UFCW, Kroger Continue Contract Negotiations; Meeting Again Next Week

Negotiations are ongoing between UFCW Local 700 and Kroger for a new contract for workers in Central Indiana Kroger stores. The Union and Company continue to exchange, discuss, and analyze proposals.  This week, we were assisted by a Commissioner from the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS).

We are scheduled to reconvene on Tuesday, May 24, again with the assistance of FMCS.

We are committed to reaching an agreement that raises pay; protects affordable, quality health care benefits; and keeps members safe at work.

The contract between UFCW Local 700 and Kroger Indianapolis expires May 14, 2022; the Union and the Company have agreed to a contract extension through June 18, 2022. Your pay, benefits, and work rules remain unchanged during the term of the extension.

Indianapolis Kroger Contract Negotiations Continue; FMCS Services Requested

Your UFCW Local 700 Union Negotiating Committee resumed negotiations with Kroger for a new contract for workers in Central Indiana Kroger stores. The Union and Company continue to exchange, discuss, and analyze proposals. We are scheduled to meet again on Friday and have requested the assistance of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS).

Indianapolis Kroger Contract Extended

Your UFCW Local 700 Union Negotiating Committee continued negotiations with Kroger for a new contract for workers in Central Indiana Kroger stores. The Union and Company have made progress, but we need some more time to reach a final agreement.

We are committed to reaching an agreement that raises pay; protects affordable, quality health care benefits; and keeps members safe at work.

The contract between UFCW Local 700 and Kroger Indianapolis expires May 14, 2022; the Union and the Company have agreed to a contract extension through June 18, 2022. The extension will provide additional time to finalize health and wellness coverage and pension benefits, and to continue negotiating over pay. During the extension, your pay, health care, and work rules remain unchanged.

We plan to resume negotiations next week with the assistance of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS).

Negotiations Ongoing for UFCW700-Kroger Indianapolis Contract

Your UFCW Local 700 Union Negotiating Committee is continuing negotiations with Kroger for a new contract for workers in Central Indiana Kroger stores. The Union and Company spent much of the day today working through non-economic issues and began discussing health and wellness coverage. We are also planning to meet Wednesday, May 11, Thursday, May 12, and Friday, May 13.

Your UFCW Local 700 Union Negotiating Committee continued negotiations with Kroger this week for a new contract for workers in Central Indiana Kroger stores. The Union and Company met three days this week, exchanging and discussing proposals; negotiations are scheduled to resume next Tuesday, May 10. We are also planning to meet next Wednesday, May 11, and next Thursday, May 12.
