UFCW Local 700 Members Approve New Contract with Kroger for Ft. Wayne Stores

Your UFCW Local 700 Union Bargaining Committee is proud to announce that members have overwhelmingly approved a new, three-year contract with Kroger for Ft. Wayne stores. The new contract covers almost 2500 workers in 22 stores in the Ft. Wayne area.

Through negotiating together, we won:

  • Guaranteed pay increases over the life of the contract
  • Lump-sum compensation for top-rated and grandfathered workers, and Department Heads
  • Higher premiums for night crews
  • Quality, affordable health care for members and your families

Union Announces Member Voting Schedule for Ft. Wayne Kroger Contract

Your UFCW Local 700 Union Bargaining Committee reached a tentative agreement with Kroger for a new, three-year contract; the agreement covers almost 2,500 workers in 22 stores in the Ft. Wayne area.

Union Representatives and Bargaining Committee Members will be in stores on Monday, July 29, and Tuesday, July 30, to discuss details of the proposed contract and answer questions.

Your Union Officers, Staff, and Union Bargaining Committee recommend a YES VOTE to approve the proposed contract.

UFCW Local 700, Kroger Reach Tentative Agreement for Ft. Wayne Contract

Your UFCW Local 700 Union Bargaining Committee is proud to announce that we’ve reached a tentative agreement with Kroger for a new, three-year contract; the agreement covers almost 2500 workers in 22 stores in the Ft. Wayne area.

YOUR UNION OFFICERS, STAFF, AND UNION BARGAINING COMMITTEE RECOMMEND A YES VOTE TO APPROVE THE PROPOSED CONTRACT.

We were able to win the same agreement as members in Indianapolis stores, which includes:

  • Guaranteed pay increases over the life of the contract
  • Lump-sum compensation for top-rated and grandfathered workers, and Department Heads
  • Higher premiums for night crews
  • Quality, affordable health care for members and your families
  • Health care benefit improvements
  • Retirement security for a better future
  • Language improvements creating more opportunity for you

Union Prepares for Upcoming Contract Negotiations with Kroger in Ft. Wayne

The one-year contract between UFCW Local 700 and Kroger Ft. Wayne expires on August 3, 2019; the agreement covers almost 2500 workers in 24 stores in the Ft. Wayne area.

Your UFCW Local 700 Union Negotiating Committee, comprised of Union leaders and representatives, members who work in Ft. Wayne Kroger stores, and UFCW International staff have met throughout the summer to review the current contract and the gains we won during negotiations for Indianapolis Kroger members. Our goal is to replicate these contract gains for members in Ft. Wayne stores.

The Union Negotiating Committee will meet tomorrow, July 23, with representatives from Kroger.
