Negotiations Continue for Indianapolis Kroger Contract

Your UFCW Local 700 Union Bargaining Committee met with Company representatives this week to continue bargaining a new Indianapolis Kroger contract.

Your Union Bargaining Committee presented a comprehensive proposal; the Company offered language proposals. We were able to reach agreement on a number of language items.

We expect that our discussion during the next bargaining meetings will center mostly on health care benefits and wages. Protecting affordable, quality health care over the term of the agreement – including low weekly contributions for employees – is a priority for your Union Bargaining Committee.

In November 2015, members of UFCW Local 700 working in Indianapolis Kroger stores approved a new wage scale, including bigger increases and a faster path to top rate. However, we are working to reach an agreement that includes guaranteed wage increases.

Our next negotiations are scheduled for May 4, May 5, and May 6.
