Kroger Indy Aug. 12 Update

Yesterday, we hosted the first Indianapolis Kroger Member Town Hall over Zoom to provide more details on the status of bargaining, answer commonly asked questions, and discuss next steps for securing the contract you deserve. If you were unable to join the town hall or did not receive a text message yesterday with the town hall link, we have updated our form to make sure folks are subscribed to text and email updates, so please fill out and confirm your contact information

You can also watch the town hall in its entirety here.

Our next bargaining session is tomorrow, Wednesday the 13th, and we’re prepared to let Kroger know that if they don’t come to the table with a new offer, we’re ready to do what it takes. But in order to do that, we need more members to fill out the feedback survey to make sure the collective voice of the membership is heard loud and clear:

If you haven’t already, please take our Indianapolis Kroger Member Feedback Survey.

Hundreds of you have already participated in the survey and made clear what actions you were willing to take to secure the contract you deserve. But between now and Wednesday we need more members to take the survey and send a strong message to the company that we are united in this fight, so please share the survey with your coworkers.

Starting today, UFCW representatives from across the country will be joining Local 700 reps in your stores to make sure members are aware of the survey, and to help answer questions, hear your stories, and make it clear to Kroger that we mean business.

Click here to take our Indianapolis Kroger Member Feedback Survey and ask your coworkers to as well!

I want to thank all of you for your continued strength, solidarity, and engagement throughout this process. This is your union, your contract, and your decision, so please make your voice heard by filling out the survey and asking your coworkers to as well.

Let’s send a clear message to Kroger about what the collective membership is willing to do to get the contract you all deserve.

In solidarity,Tracy Bartak
President, UFCW Local 700

P.S. We’re starting to collect member stories– if you want to share yours, click here to record a video message.
