“UFCW Local 700 is preparing to return to the bargaining table on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. As we move into this next critical session, I want to share exactly what your union is fighting for, and why it is so important that we continue to stand together.
We need real wage increases for all members. The Company’s latest proposals do not go far enough. We are demanding wage increases across the board that reflect your value and reward your hard work. These raises must benefit all classifications, including part-time workers who are essential to store operations.
We need staffing solutions that work. Short staffing continues to harm our stores and place added strain on workers. Kroger must do more than acknowledge this problem. They must commit to fixing it. That is why we have proposed the creation of quarterly joint labor management meetings, where staffing concerns and other workplace issues can be addressed directly and consistently.
Utility Clerks deserve recognition. Utility Clerks are critical to store operations and deserve recognition in this contract. We have proposed creating a Senior Utility Clerk position to provide advancement opportunities and ensure that Utility Clerks receive fair compensation for the essential work they do every day.
Unity is our strength. Full time or part time, Clerk, Pharmacy Technician, Fuel Center Clerk or Utility Clerk. Every member matters. Together we are stronger. Your solidarity is what drives this fight forward. Standing together is how we will win a strong contract.
In Solidarity,

President, UFCW Local 700
