After members overwhelmingly rejected Kroger’s proposed four-year contract, the Union Bargaining Committee returned to the table this week. We believed the vote would deliver a clear message that Kroger needs to do more for the union members that make their stores successful. Unfortunately, the company failed to provide an acceptable proposal, even asking for us to re-vote the exact same deal that was just voted down.
We want to show Kroger that we are serious and that we are pursuing all possible options for strike actions. To that end, we are asking members to take this survey about possible Unfair Labor Practices or ULPs in stores. ULPs are actions taken by a company that that violate your rights as a union member and may interfere with our ability to bargain fairly with the company to get the contract you deserve.
By filling out this brief survey, you are ensuring that you and your coworkers stand strong to defend your rights as union members. A Union Representative will reach out to you to follow-up on any potential violations you’ve experienced.
The bargaining committee will be meeting again.
