UFCW Local 700 would like to congratulate Jeff Kimbrough on his recent retirement from Local 700 after more than 25 years of dedicated service.
Jeff started his union career as a young “kid” who took it upon himself to organize his grocery store in northern Indiana and make life better, not only for himself, but also for his co-workers. He was instrumental in the organizing drive and Jeff felt the calling for this work. He saw the value in collective bargaining and embraced it, making it his passion to serve our members during his career.
Jeff has served our union in many different roles. doing whatever was necessary for our members. From assisting with retirement paperwork, processing grievances, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, and helping to improve safety and conditions in the workplace, Jeff was always willing to do whatever it took to help our members. Jeff also worked in communications, as assistant to the president, service representative and our Wal-Mart coordinator, all while working tirelessly to help build our union and keep it strong.
Jeff has been a cornerstone for Local 700 and his contributions will have a lasting impact for our members. Congratulations, Jeff. Thank you for all your dedication.
