Union Prepares for Upcoming Indianapolis Kroger Contract Negotiations

The contract between UFCW Local 700 and Kroger Indianapolis expires on May 14, 2022; it covers more than 8,000 workers at 69 stores in the Indianapolis area.

Your UFCW Local 700 Union Bargaining Committee will be comprised of Union leaders and representatives, a group of members working in Indianapolis Kroger stores, and UFCW International staff. We will be negotiating pay and work rules (contract language), plus health care coverage for Kroger workers in Indianapolis, Ft. Wayne, and South Bend. The agreement governing the pension for members in the Consolidated Fund was recently renewed through 2024. Meat Department members in the National Pension Fund are covered in an agreement through 2028.

Thanks to those of you who completed a contract proposal questionnaire. We received excellent feedback from members and are using the information for our contract proposals. In addition, we continue to work with our actuaries and plan professionals to refine our proposals. We are committed to reaching an agreement that raises pay; protects affordable, quality health care benefits; and keeps members safe at work.

There are no dates scheduled yet for negotiations.

Should you have any questions or want further information, please contact your Union Representative.
