Kroger workers eligible for additional compensation

Grocery and food workers have been on the frontlines throughout the COVID-19 crisis. We won’t stop fighting for the health and safety resources you need. In addition to everyday health and safety like mask wearing, social distancing, and frequent handwashing, Kroger workers have the option to receive the COVID-19 vaccine (when eligible to do so).

Kroger workers who receive the necessary doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will receive a one-time payment of $100. To get this payment, you must present the vaccination record after completing the appropriate number of doses to receive the payment.

As of now, the payment will be provided to those who receive their final dose before the end of the first quarter of fiscal year 2021. This timeframe may be extended based on vaccine availability and roll out progress.

Both the union and the company are continuing to advocate for Kroger workers to be included in the earliest eligibility phase possible for the vaccine.
