UFCW700, Kroger Begin Negotiations for Indianapolis Contract

UFCW Local 700 leaders and members of the UFCW Local 700 Union Bargaining Committee began the process of bargaining a new Indianapolis Kroger contract.

The men and women who work in Kroger stores every day are what make the company a market leader in our community.

Your Union Bargaining Committee shared our bargaining goals with the Company, including: fair wage increases; maintaining affordable, quality health care for members and your families; creating more full-time jobs; reaching an agreement prior to expiration; protecting and securing the meat pension; and winning a contract that reflects the hard work and dedication of members of UFCW Local 700. Retail pension benefits are secured until 2021 through the UFCW Consolidated Fund

Kroger provided a review of the current state of the company and outlined its plans for the Indianapolis KMA.

Our next negotiations are scheduled for April 28; the current agreement expires in May.
