New Benefit for Members of UFCW Local 700 at Kroger
United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 700 is a union of over 13,000 working people united to improve our industries and our communities. We negotiate contracts that protect livable wages, strong language, and affordable health care; we also strive to provide special, member-only benefits to members of our union. We’ve teamed up with AFLAC to offer two programs to Local 700 members who work for Kroger: Critical Illness Plan and the Accident Plan.
April 1 is the first day to enroll. You can enroll online at: www.aflac.com/ufcw700kroger from April 1- April 30.
Critical Illness Plan
When someone is diagnosed with a critical illness, this is often accompanied with challenges in covering extra out-of-pocket expenses like treatment (and transportation to treatment) and other increased costs associated with the diagnosis. This program will assist you through paying a benefit for a covered critical illness (cancer, heart attack, stroke, major organ transplant, end-stage renal failure). Click here for more information.
Aflac accident insurance helps policyholders cope with medical and out-of-pocket expenses that add up quickly after an injury – not only cost for emergency treatment, hospital stays and medical exams, but also for transportation and lodging. Policyholders receive cash benefits for injuries such as broken teeth, concussions, emergency room visits, and many other treatments major medical insurance may not fully cover.
